“August...it's like the Sunday of summer.”
From Senior Center Supervisor Sarah Taylor:
Sunday afternoons are my favorite! It’s the day of the week that begs us to take it easy and enjoy life’s simple pleasures – a good book, a long walk, catching up with a friend, going on a day trip, making time for something new… And after this past year, and that rainy July, I think we all deserve to savor this month, the “Sunday of Summer,” more than ever!
It’ll be an exciting month at the Center – we’re fully back up and running with trips, fitness classes, creative arts classes, wellness presentations, and all of our groups and games. We are THRILLED to be bringing back in-person meals, and we can’t wait to have the dining room buzzing with chatter and laughter again! Joe Flood (yes, Mary’s brother!) will take us on a musical journey on August 20th, and you’ll get a kick out of History for Fun on the 25th. Finally, share your talents or simply enjoy the show at our ever-popular Open Mic on the 13th! It’s summertime fun at the Senior Center – join us and let the soft, hazy beauty of this season inspire you!
Effective Monday, June 21, 2021, face mask requirements are lifted for fully vaccinated individuals in the Senior Center and Human Services building and transportation vehicles. Masks are still required for staff and visitors who are not fully vaccinated. We continue to encourage everyone to wash and sanitize your hands often, as well as stay home if you are feeling sick. Anyone who feels more comfortable wearing a face mask is welcome to continue to do so.
